This agreement outlines the responsibilities, obligations, and rights of the Pageant Titleholder, as well as the expectations set forth by Mid-South Pride as the Promoter. By signing this document, both parties agree to adhere to the terms and conditions specified herein.

  1. Title Holder Obligations

    The title holder shall attend and participate in:

    1. Attend 2 meetings with the Entertainment Team during the reign
    2. Attend 2 Mid-South Pride Open Board Meetings during the reign posted on Facebook
    3. Attend 3 other organizations’ benefits/events and coordinate with the MSP board
    4. Participate in the Christmas Parade and St. Patrick’s Day Parade
    5. Organize a fundraiser for Pride that funds the Pageant System
    6. Attend the Thursday night event to Open Pride Festival (ticket provided)
    7. Attend the Friday event (ticket provided)
    8. Saturday Festival and Parade, all day and up to 3 performances (the festival entertainment team will give you a paid booking for the day for your performances)
    9. Attend the Sunday event and performance (ticket provided)
    10. Attend and participate in the Mid-South Pride Pageant to surrender their reign to the next titleholder.

The winner will be required to attend 14 total events (listed above) as a representative of Mr/Miss/Mx Mid-South Pride.

  1. Bookings

    Title holder shall attend 10 mandatory Mid-South Pride events:

    1. Two Events (TBD)(Each Paid Booking of $50.00)

    2. Other titleholder’s benefit (Paid Booking of $50.00)

    3. Mr/Miss/Mx Mid-South Pride Pageant end of the reign (Give Up $100)

      All entertaining and/or appearances of an official nature by the Title Holder shall be cleared and approved ten (10) business days in advance by the Promoter, whose approval shall not unreasonably be withheld. Entertaining and/or appearances of an official nature shall be construed as those, but not limited to those, in which the Title Holder is appearing mainly due to their Title and, therefore, representing the Pageant, the Promoter (Mid-South Pride).

  2. Title Holder's Responsibilities

    Title Holder agrees to hold the title, the Promoters, and franchisees in the highest esteem. Title Holder agrees that while appearing, entertaining, or representing the Title during the year of their reign the following:

    1. Not to be intoxicated in public
    2. Not to commit acts of a sexual nature in a public place
    3. Not to commit acts of a violent nature in a public place
    4. Not to use illegal drugs or to be inhibited by drugs
    5. Not to lay hands on anyone in an inappropriate way
    6. Not to steal or participate in thievery
      1. Not to participate in malicious gossip
      2. Not to be deemed guilty of any other unreasonable act that is considered demeaning to the Title by the Promoter.
      3. The Title Holder agrees to provide a satisfactory publicity photograph with crown within thirty (30) days of assuming the Title for use by the Promoter.
      4. The title holder is responsible for putting on 1 benefit during the reign. You must secure approval from the board regarding the type of event, location, and artwork at least 45 days prior to said event. The promoter has the right to approve all details. Events must be spread out throughout the year and 1 if not 2 needs to be before the annual festival.
      5. The Title Holder agrees to keep a valid form of communication in service during the year of their reign.
      6. Not to perform nude.
      7. The Title Holder agrees to have a valid email address and phone number.
      8. The title holder agrees to have reliable transportation during the year of their reign.
  3. Social Media

    The titleholder understands that he/she will receive access to the Mr/Miss/Mx Mid-South Pride Facebook page within (7) days of crowning. He/She/They must provide a professional photo as a profile photo within 48 hours of receiving access.

    The titleholder also understands that the Facebook page provided must remain active for their entire reign. This includes at least (1) post per week, not limited to sharing events, status updates, live streaming, or photos with the general public at bookings or other obligations noted above in lines 1 and 2.

  4. Promoter's Responsibilities

    The Promoter's responsibilities to the Title Holder shall be:

    1. To permit the Title Holder the booking rights as stated in Article 2

    2. To provide Title Holder with all necessary information on a timely basis concerning events at which they request their presence.

    3. To pay all monies, awards, and prizes, as long as the Title Holder is not in default under this Contract, as follows:

      TOTAL OF MONEY PACKAGE UP TO $350

      $100 night of the crowning

      $100 night of surrender

      $50 (3) per mandatory booking attended as stated in Article 2.

      Titleholders will meet with a Board Representative on the night of the paid booking to receive monies owed to them in compliance with attendance at mandatory events stated in Article 2.

      The remaining monies owed from reign Mr/Miss/Mx Mid-South Pride Pageant will be paid the night of the titleholder’s surrender. By check from MID-SOUTH PRIDE.

  5. Certain Rights Reserved by Title Holder

    As long as the Title Holder is not in default under this contract, he/she shall have the following rights:

    1. To enjoy the rights and privileges of said Title
    2. To be allowed bookings, subject to Article 2 and other private bookings approved by the promoter, shall be for whatever fee the Title Holder feels is justified.
  6. Certain Rights Reserved to Promoter

    The following rights are reserved to the Promoter:

    1. To have and retain paramount title to Title at all times.
    2. To change the title of Mr/Miss Mid-South Pride at its own discretion
    3. To approve all bookings, subject to Articles 2 and 6 contained herein of Title Holder.
    4. To reasonably set forth Rules and Regulations concerning the conduct of holders of Title
  7. Promoter's Remedies

    If Title Holder defaults under this contract, the Promoter may treat any one or more of the foregoing occurrences as a breach of this Contract, and thereupon, at its option, may, without notice or demand of any kind (which Title Holder hereby expressly waives), to title Holder or any other person, have, but not limited to, any or all of the following remedies:

    1. Revoke the Title from the Title Holder
    2. Demand the return of all prizes, awards, and/or money given to the Title Holder
      1. Pass the Title to the 1st Runner-up or any other person felt to be qualified by the Promoter
      2. Refuse bookings of an official nature to Title Holder
  8. Notices/Communication

All notices/communication shall go through the Title Holders and the Board Representative. Communication between them will take place via email, social media, and text messages. That is why it is important that the Title Holder maintains a working phone line at all times.

All rights and remedies of the Promoter under this Contract shall be cumulative, and no one shall exclude any other rights and remedies by law.
